I have a heavy heart over the bombings at the Boston Marathon yesterday - I lived in Massachusetts for eleven years and have many friends who live in the city (fortunately they're ok) - I'm generally an
optimist, but I'm not naive enough to think that nothing bad ever happens in the world. I do think that we have to guard ourselves from becoming too weighed down and overwhelmed by it all though - Kurt Vonnegut's quote is a great reminder.
"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place."
I debated about adding my "signature" to the bottom - I'm not trying to use this tragedy as an advertising vehicle, but I do want to discourage people from selling this image since I'm offering for free for people's encouragement - so here it is as a free printable: (link opens a google doc)
