Shrimp Christmas Cards for When You Shrimply Want to Say Happy Holidays

These shrimp Christmas cards are perfect for a beach Christmas in Florida. I designed them with an antique science illustration of a shrimp. Anyone who has ever prepared fresh shrimp or seen them in an aquarium knows what long antennae they have. When I was brainstorming ideas for a new Florida-themed shrimp Christmas card my friend Ellen was the one who came up with the idea of decking the halls...er...antennae with colorful Christmas lights! "Maybe that's too hard", she commented. Well, I'm always up for a challenge! I digitally restored a beautiful antique shrimp illustration collected in 1908 by a scientific expedition and added in the colorful lights one by one.

Each folded 4.25"x5.5" card in this set of 8 says "I shrimply wanted to say Happy Holidays!" inside and is sure to put a smile on the face of whoever you send it to! They are printed in the USA and come with red envelopes (also made in the USA!)

You can find these on my website and also in my etsy shop:

Merry Fishmas - Funny Nautical Christmas Cards Made in Florida

Add caption

The Christmas cards are piling up here in my sunny studio, I'm gearing up to sell at the Atomic Holiday Bazaar in Sarasota this year for the first time and I'm sure my funny nautical cards are going to be a hit! Who doesn't love a good pun? You can find these "Merry Fishmas" cards in my online shop here: Funny Fish Christmas Cards or on etsy here: Nautical Christmas Cards Merry Fishmas.

I work with a printer here in Florida to do all of the printing for me using eco friendly soy-based ink, and the envelopes are made in New York. I'm proud to offer Christmas cards that are made in the USA! The fish design wraps around to the back of the card - the original illustration came from a scientific journal from the late 1800's that I digitally restored and added a Santa Hat to:

Funny Nautical Christmas Cards - set of 8 - they will put a smile on your face!

By popular demand I've created a variety pack of my funny nautical Christmas and Holiday cards (you can also buy them in individual sets if you fall in love with one design - check them out here: Nautical Christmas Cards)  - I always like to put a smile on people's faces with my cards, and these beachy Christmas cards are no exception.

I designed them from old scientific illustrations - one of my first jobs out of college was working at a marine science library and we were undertaking a huge scanning project to put old journals online. I saw some of the beautiful illustrations inside the journals and thought they deserved a new life as stationery! I use digital collage to make them and have them printed professionally right here in Florida.

Each card has a different nautical critter on the front, and a fun message on the inside -

Each nautical Christmas card set includes the following 8 cards:

- 2 Seahorse Christmas Cards & Envelopes

- 2 Fish Christmas Cards & Envelopes

- 2 Lobster Holiday Cards & Envelopes

- 2 Narwhal Holiday Cards & Envelopes

You can purchase them in my Etsy shop or on my website - I've sold thousands of these fun nautical Christmas cards and I love hearing how much folks enjoy sending & receiving them!

Funny Narwhal Christmas Cards

Looking for some adorable nautical Christmas cards to send to friends and family this holiday season? Look no further - you can "Deck the Narwhals with boughs of holly" this winter with my Narwhal Christmas Cards.

They are available as individual cards and also in packs of 8 at a reduced price. They're great for anyone who loves a good pun (or maybe anyone who claims to hate them but secretly loves them...you know who you are!) They're printed on a lovely, lightly textured "linen" cardstock with beautiful vivid color - I get them printed locally here in Florida and the paper and envelopes are made in the USA, too!

I created this design using the same 200 year old narwhal illustration featured in my Narwhal Notecards:

...only this time, he's bringing holiday cheer with a holly wreath!

Did you know that a narwhal's tusk, which can grow up to NINE FEET LONG, are thought to be a sensory organ that helps the male narwhal sense chemical and physical changes to the water they live in? The tusk is actually a front left tooth!

"The narwhal is the only example documented where teeth are shown to have the ability to constantly sense environmental stimuli that would not necessarily be considered a threat," he said.

"If you were looking for an ideal and fascinating tooth to study there's no question this would be it." - BBC Nature - Narwhal's Tusk is Super Sensitive

It also happens to be perfect for delivering a beautiful holly wreath!
